Today, you’ll use the same expression when leaving our creative lab after making a key tray, customizing a bag, painting a work of art…
"Mazette, I did it myself!”
[mazεt], n. f. and interjection
Exclamation of surprise, admiration.
“Mazette” originally referred to a person clumsy with their hands. Ironic, considering what this word has become! At some point, the French language transformed it into an expression of admiration.
A creative laboratory
Mazette is a place where you can create without pressure, where there are more than 20 creative activities at your disposal. You settle in, experiment, take your time… and often surprise yourself by doing something you didn’t think you were capable of.
Whether you come alone, with friends, or just to disconnect, the idea stays the same: have a good time and leave with something you made yourself.
Our story
The creation of Mazette
To understand how the idea was born, you have to go back 4 years. It’s December, and the Christmas gift rush has started. For once, I decide my gifts will be handmade!
I settle in my living room and quickly realize I’m missing lots of tools and machines. No problem, I’ll do it differently!
A few hours later, my living room is full of fabrics, my walls are covered in paint, my cat too, I’ve been searching online for 30 minutes to fix my thread spool issue, and I start thinking that creating really requires going through challenges!
And that’s when the idea of Mazette came to me:
The Creative’s Paradise.
A place where I could find all the materials I need, advice, good vibes, and above all, the freedom to spread out everywhere!
It’s decided, one day I will open it!

The Craftizettes
Mazette is a place… but above all a team.
Behind every successful creation (or almost) are our craftizettes.
They welcome you, explain the basics, reassure you when you think “I’m not handy”… and celebrate with you when you look at your object thinking:

They bring the place to life every day. They set the mood, make you feel comfortable, and make every visit unique. Always there at the right moment for advice, a helping hand, or just a chat, they ensure you feel free to try, fail, and start again.
